Approved driver guide
ORide driver user guide
Follow these steps after ORide confirms that your driver application is approved. ORide never sends a password by email.
1. Activate your account
If ORide created a new account for you, open the secure password-setup link in your approval email before it expires. Create a strong password that you do not use for another service.
- Use the same email address entered on your driver application.
- If you already had an ORide account, keep using your existing password.
- Use “Forgot password?” in the app if you cannot remember your password.
2. Install and sign in
Use the official App Store or Google Play link in your onboarding email when one is provided. If a store link is not included, contact driver support for the current release status. Open ORide, enter your application email and password, then select Continue.
- Do not create a second rider account.
- Keep the app updated so dispatch, safety and document features work correctly.
- Contact driver support if the app says your approved account is unavailable.
3. Check your driver profile
Confirm your name, phone, vehicle and registration details. Report an incorrect record before accepting trips.
- Allow notifications so you can receive trip offers and account alerts.
- Allow location access required for driver availability, dispatch and active trips.
- Review the safety and privacy information shown in the app.
4. Keep documents current
Application approval does not replace ongoing legal and compliance obligations. Renew expiring driver, accreditation, medical, insurance, registration, inspection and CTP records before their due dates.
- Upload a replacement when the app or ORide requests it.
- Wait for a replacement document to be verified before relying on it.
- A suspended, expired or incomplete requirement can prevent you from going online.
5. Go online and accept trips
When your account and current compliance checks allow it, use the driver home screen to go online. Review each offer before accepting and follow the in-app pickup and trip workflow.
